So I've had five very successful job interviews this week... things are looking promising!
I wonder when I'll actually feel like I live here instead of like I'm on vacation... I really feel like I am supposed to be here right now... it's awesome to have so many new things to see and do and try... I know it's cliche, but it feels like every day is full of promise and adventure!
When I'm walking through Times Square, or Rockefeller Center, or anywhere actually, I get this big stupid grin on my face... I look like a total nutjob... the good news is that at least I blend in. Peeps here are nutty!
I think I'm going to have to get a little tougher and more aggressive ... I'm still quite cautious when I cross the street... When I hail a cab... When I do anything... It's a totally different culture... confrontation is a part of life!
Speaking of confrontation, the roomies and I are taking a long and arduous journey to Target in Brooklyn tomorrow and to some furniture places... We need to get a couch and a t.v., and I still haven't ordered furniture for my room... I'm setting a deadline for completion of my room decor: the weekend after Labor Day. Why, you ask? Because we need to have a housewarming party and I can't have people over if I don't have a matching duvet/curtain set and coordinated and well-appointed furniture. This whole ordeal makes me miss the fully furnished house in Atlanta... those were the days!
So, my first weekend as a New York resident begins... I wonder what my next blog post will be about? Something crazy to be sure!
