Thanksgiving Wrap-up… sorry for the delay

To quickly wrap up the story I was telling about my brother’s visit to NYC…

Friday
Subway … “Take a picture of me – it’s my first time on the subway!”…WTC… Unbearably sad…Financial district/Wall Street… Great architecture …Staten Island Ferry… Statue of Liberty… “It’s smaller than I thought.”… Little Italy…mmm, lasagna…Canal Street… “No, I don’t want a fake Prada bag.”…wallet check…Bryant Park… 5th Avenue… Saks amazing light display …Rockefeller Center…wallet check… Visit to my office… “How come there are no pictures of me in your office?”… mmm, leftover Thanksgiving food…Times Square…wallet check…Broadway … WOW…Lion King… “Naaaahsivemia, babababesama, behyaanda!”

Saturday
Central Park… sunny day…food vendors… empanadas, peanuts, pretzels, crepes, hot dogs, hot chocolate… sharing with squirrels and geese along the way…talented musicians… carrousel... “This is way faster than the one at Disney World”…ginormous leaf pile… “I really want to jump in that”… “But what if there’s a big rock under there?”…Central Park Pond… Allison’s $300 sunglasses…slow motion…off the bridge…into the pond… Alex in his underwear… dive in…“It’s so cold, I can’t breathe”…sewage?...bodies?... “Do you know that guy?”… sigh…. “That’s my brother, in the Central Park pond”… in November…sunglasses found… dry him off with pashminas…Afrobats! … “We need a volunteer diva”…. Allison, naturally… flipped right over her…The Metropolitan Museum of Art… Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Picasso…Park Avenue…we need a cab… feet aching…New York Pizza…Les Miserables… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
