My brother, in his always questionable wisdom, is thinking about going to Iraq for a year to do construction. Feel free to yell at your computer about how dumb that is. Everyone but Alex thinks so, too.
1. Go to Iraq and make $100,000 tax-free with no living expenses - quite probably die.
2. Come to NYC, where money will be tight but he could potentially make it big with his awesome drumming prowess - more than likely survive.
3. Stay home and continue to be an expert at Guitar Hero, but not terribly great at life - definitely stay alive.
Everyone but Alex knows that options 2 and 3 are about 50 bazillion times better than option 1, which shouldn't even be an option because it's so bloody stupid. However, Alex rarely listens to reason and therefore I have decided to implement a petition.
Perhaps, on this election day, democracy will win his vote. I know most of my readers are anonymous, but I am pleading with you today to comment on this post... you can use your full name or an alias, but please, comment for Alex. Your words of discouragement may save his life. Tell a friend. The more folks we have commenting, the better chance Alex will see reason and either move to NYC or stay at home. Thank you for your support!
