Back in the Saddle

Today was my first day in the office since Dec. 15 and I very nearly forgot how to get there. Frankly, I was glad to be back at my desk. As you know I worked quite a bit over the break and if I'm going to be handling business, I'd really prefer to do it with everything I need right at hand. It was no typical manic Monday, in fact I quite enjoyed it. My boss gave me a holiday gift of Champagne and a manicure gift certificate - huzzah! I caught up with my colleagues, we had a 4-6 p.m. get-together for my department to catch up... and I finished my expense report, the shadow that's been hovering over me since I got back from the photo shoot. Oh and I was super-productive. It was a nice day.

Are you as bored as I am with my life today? I loved it, but only because it was more or less completely unremarkable. I might as well be talking about brushing my teeth and picking up sundries at the corner store. Don't get nervous, readers. I do have lots of funny stories to share. I'm just far too tired and googly-moogly in my head to tell you in any coherent manner about hilarity that has ensued in the past say, six bloody insane weeks of my life. I just wanted to reassure you that I will be back to normal blogging schedule and form shortly... that is, after I fly to Florida AGAIN on Wednesday. While I'm beyond tired of airports, planes and delays, there's little that could deter me from cheering on the Florida Gators in Miami with a couple of my most adored pals from UF.

On that note, I still don't have a ticket. If anybody out there in Internet Land can help, holla at your favorite blogger.
