Just Touched Down in London Town

We made it safely to Heathrow around 9:45 a.m. and slept maybe 2 hours on the plane... the hotel couldn't check us in when we arrived, so we dropped our luggage, bought bus tickets and toured the city. Once we got to Leicester Square, we checked the TKTS booth for cheap Les Miserables tickets - SUCCESS! Though I keep thinking everything is such a great deal and then remembering (after purchase) that I must multiply pounds by two. OUCH. Can't stress that enough... it IS expensive! So we did the Les Miserables matinee and managed to stay awake for the whole thing. Today, we've already seen Big Ben, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square... I could go on, we've seen much. At this point, we're about 3 minutes away from passing out face down in the bed... utterly exhausted, very excited, already 10 times more culturally aware then we were when the wheels came down on our Delta flight. We have no WiFi in our room, so Internet cafe access will have to do until we make it to Paris. Videos & pics to come. Until next time...
